Starting to like this guy. We are needing a young up and coming coach. He's a winner and knows Louisiana. Probably will accept a more reasonable salary.

People are saying it’s political since the Governor got involved. He’s not going to want to pull a coach from an instate school. Needs all the political favor he can get since he’s looks at very poorly as a whole.

This is a load of horse shite that sounds informed and wise.
Reminds me of the crap that floated around in the 80s that LSU would never accept a black quarterback.
LSU wants to win. Period!
We rightly didn’t want Napier because he wasn’t a SEC caliber coach. Just ask Florida. Sumrall is an uncertainty that is more likely to be a 4 year disaster than our 5th national championship coach.
