NFL Scheduling is dumb

Giants and Eagles playing for the second time in three weeks.
What’s the point of playing a team twice per year if the schedule pits them twice during the same point of the season? Thats practically back to back.

Bengals and Ravens play each other for the first time on Thanksgiving in Week 13, then play each other again in Week 15.

The scheduling formula for who you play is actually great. But I agree you shouldn’t pack divisional games so close together.

Division rivals should play each other about once every 8 weeks, as much as possible. Gives you a chance to catch them again if you had injuries the first time or vice versa. Also gives you meaningful games in both halves of the season. And division rivals shouldn’t play their second matchup before Week 11 or 12.
The byes are also too early, too late and too spread out. Four teams got a bye in Week 5 because they must be exhausted from those first 4 weeks. It’s also stupid for a team to have a bye in Week 14, yet 4 teams get one this year. They get a bye to rest before the last 4 weeks of the season. And exactly have of the 18 weeks have teams on a bye. It dilutes the product. Dumb.

I like how it played out. Giants with a big upset two weeks ago followed by a massive collapse last week. Now they have to come out and beat the Eagles again to, essentially, save the season.
ETA: With that said the last two week must be only divisional games.
