I’m not a big sports bettor so very limited experience and seeking advice

Casino bet so I don’t believe there to be a cash out option

I made an $1100 bet on the Milwaukee Brewers to win the World Series in July at +2500 paying out a total of $28,600

Obviously I should hedge but would it be better to bet Dodgers to win World Series rather than just the NLCS considering they’re -200 to win NL but +130 to win WS? Then hedge again in WS?

I’d like to make some profit but I’m willing to gamble somewhat just to see if I can’t hit it big with the Brewers.

TIA for advice.

I did something kind of similar last year but on a smaller scale—put a few hundred on an underdog and tried hedging halfway through the playoffs. It worked out okay, though I got a bit greedy and missed locking in some profit.

If you’re fine with some risk, staggering the hedge like you mentioned makes sense. It’s kind of like watching online sabong or online cockfighting — you pick your fighter, ride the ups and downs, and hope they pull through in the end.
