Will be in the area for a few days next week. Any can’t miss spots? Really open to any type/price food.

Are you doing keeneland?
Wallace station in Midway is a nice drive through horse country
Cole's 735 main
Carson's
Archanine Thai
Corto y Lima
County club
Favor
Mintons for brunch
Malones or obc
Heirloom in Midway

Lmk what you're looking for and I can give you better Lexington ideas

Ramsey's - home cooking, several locations. Hot Brown is signature dish for area, they have a good one
Malone's - steaks
Carsons
Drakes
Joe Bologna's - old school pizza
Jeff Rubys - expensive steaks
Proud Mary BBQ - outside of Lex, good setting on the River, take the old Richmond Rd route to get there this time of year
AP Suggins - neighborhood pub, good food
Columbia's - old school steak house - downtown location is best
Chevy Chase Inn - CCI - old school no frills bar

If Keeneland is running try to make it out,
if not running can still go on the grounds and walk around and see lots of horses and the grounds are beautiful

Cant help with Bardstown

Definitely do Wallace station then, although it's pretty busy on race days. The keeneland track kitchen does pretty solid pancakes and it's pretty cool to eat breakfast with riders, trainers, etc.

How many days in Lexington?

Highly recommend the Bar at Willett in Bardstown after a distillery tour. They have limited hours and require a reservation because the word has spread about the upscale but unpretentious ambiance, creative small plates, and outstanding bourbon cocktails. Best old fashioned I’ve ever had, and the bartender was willing to share the recipe.
