Then how would current players be considered? Unless you're asking if Shaq would have dominated the NBA in 1948. The answer is yes. Any individual playing college or professional athletics in 2009 could certainly compete in an earlier era.

Shaq was listed as one of the all time NBA players a few years ago, so I dont think there will ever be a college team that he couldnt start on.

Is there no tight end in the last 50 years who could have started ahead of Billy? If thats the case, football hasn't evolved as much as these young guys think, huh?
