The Midnight Dropped Their New Album and New Tour Today

Princes of the neo-synthwave/retrowave genre.
Album is GOOD. Maybe not one of their top 3, but it's up there.
That guitar solo at 2:17. Sounds like they're channeling Steve Stevens.

They played at the Civic in NO 2 years ago but I couldn’t go. I wondered how well attended it was. I’m a big fan of the genre (big fan of Gunship and Timecop) but it’s definitely a niche offering , although the Midnight is easily the most commercially accessible act. Most don’t tour period.

I caught The Midnight in ATL with Nightly opening and was an awesome show. Most of the synthwave acts seem to stop at Texas and circle around through Florida, skipping NOLA, yeah. I'd love to see Timecop, The Bad Dreamers, et al live.
