Just cane across him on YT and not even a big KT fan or regular viewer. First 4 mins I thought this was the worst act I'd ever seen. By the end of the first appearance, thought it was one of the best things I'd seen in comedy in a while.
Turns out, the guy is basically a semi-Rodney Dangerfield, who was an ad exec, yet loved comedy.
Now, he's apparently exploding in the Austin comedy scene. Sharp guy. Got a golden ticket on his 2nd appearance.

Second appearance is pretty legendary as well. Especially the jacket bit. You can tell this guy has lots of time under his belt in improv.

He’s been great but I’m curious to see how or if he can keep things fresh with his shtick.

I’m mean… he’s a Dice Clay ripoff right? He is funny

He was just at The Lafayette Comedy Festival Thursday night.

He's doing a character who is a blatant ripoff of Dice, yet doesn't know it and has all the oblivious confidence in the world, while telling unintentional/intentionally bad jokes.
It's extremely meta. There's a lot of Andy Kaufman & Norm Macdonald in it, but it's much lighter and less hidden. That's the entire point of the act.
As stated above, how long can he keep the act up before it goes stale. That's the question.

About time we had another anti-comedy hero.
I was watching his first appearance live on YouTube and was crying laughing.
Probably watch the set 10 times that week and sent it to many family and friends.

I'd guess 3/4 of the ppl I know wouldn't get his act at all and would just say it's a bad Dice ripoff.
