F1 is his best work in years. Sure, Zimmer rips himself off a lot, and he uses a couple callbacks to Days of Thunder, but he really added to the film in a gigantic way.
Feels like Kosinski also loves the M83 / Daft Punk style. The first beats of the main F1 theme are right out of TRON legacy.
