Ive been to many of the Tiger football games and its an awesome place to watch football, one of the best if not the very best. I grew up in Michigan were baseball is shite. Ive been to many pro baseball games never college and i am thinking of going to some LSU baseball games this season. Is it anything like yalls football games? Hows the atmosphere there?

In the 90's and early 2000's it was an awesome place to watch a ballgame. Winning will do that. Last few years has been relatively subdues, especially the non-SEC games. If the team is as good as expected this year, it will be worth the trip to make a SEC series.

I think you will appreciate the atmosphere. I've talked to many fans from visiting schools over the years and they have been very complimentary of the setting. Obviously we have not made the transition to the new park but I expect the atmosphere to be very similar.

Hope you have a great time.

The best atmosphere is at the SEC weekend series. Nothing like it.

Most SEC series' are fun. Too bad this year's Arkansas series is away. Last year and I'm assuming in years past there was whole hogs being cooked in the parking lot. Wear your Michigan garb, they'll appreciate that.

I definitely say yes, not many teams fill to (and above) capacity for college baseball, we (most of the time) do, and more than likely will for all of this year due to new stadium and some fly-by-night fans who only desire to be there for the historic/winning periods

The best place (personally) to sit was left field HR bleachers...not left field lunatics, but what is the middle section of left field (L5), They have a good time with the players on both teams, classy bantering

If you want....less than...if you want to see opponents torn apart (and sadly, they'll do it for our team too...I don't know why, I'm not fond of this section, personal opinion), then coon's corner, it's the student section, last seats in Right field

It's different, but still awesome. More laid back of course.

Don't expect a football-type rowdiness. Fans are very knowledgeable and clever with barbs to opposing players, but it is all in good fun, not intensely confrontational like football. Great experience.

I've been wanting to ask this question, but didn't feel it warranted it's own thread...how do Student Tickets work for baseball? Is it free like basketball, or do we have to pay $12 like football? I've never been to an LSU baseball game before, and I'm really missing baseball now that my Rays are done and over with...

LSU in my opinion has the most fan support in NCAA baseball, I think we led the attendance per year record for 25 yrs or so. Yes, the atmosphere is great.
