I'm guessing Durham is resting his foot, but Jelani was able to run the 60m in 6.69s this weekend, qualifying for the final at Arkansas. He didn't run in the final but I didn't watch the meet so idk what happened. Three others didn't compete in the final for the 60m either.

For reference, 10th all time in the LSU Men's 60m record book is 6.65s.

Durham isn’t on the LSU Track roster so he may just be focusing on his duties as RB1

If Caden gets those toes fixed, you will see him house some TDs next year.

He broke out so many runs only to be caught from behind. You know those toes were hurting in those runs.

The reason he and Jaiden Reid, another LSU runner, didn't compete in the finals was because they already ran in the pre-qualifying and semis earlier that day. So, it would have been 3 sprints in a short period of time.

Also, there were only 4 racers in the final, one of them false started, but they let him compete anyways.

Watkins is an absolute blazer.

I remember the video of him and Caden on their HS relay team just obliterating the U. S, recordn(IIRC).

Their competition had barely gotten to the last turn when they crossed the wire. It was incredible.

I would love for him to be able to translate to the football field in a year or two.

they went to two different hs but they did run against each other and both of their relay teams have the #1 and #2 times all time

Watkins is a track guy trying to play football.

Durham is a football player that can also compete on the track. He's not fast enough to ever be a front line track guy for LSU though. Rather he focus on football.

Watkins is a track guy who can play football trust me . He was only a freshman played in some non conference games let him have some fun like Green in basketball. He will mature understand the game and be a contributor possibly his junior year .

Hope so, but I haven't seen consistent hands from him yet. He has a ways to go.

I was at the South Alabama game in the SEZ and after the two big plays to start the game I had visions of Cecil Collins. When he came up limping after Frazier fell on the back of his leg, I was sick to my stomach with more Cecil Collins visions in my head.

I know, not the same thing and not the same injury, but there was a little deja vu. I cant wait to see him 100% in the fall. I believe he is our best back since Guice and has the chance to be really special.

His ceiling should be viewed in a similar light to that of his coach Bennie Brazille. Can contribute to both sports in ways that could lead to professional contracts in both. He’s our fastest football player, and will develop to become our fastest guy on the track. He will get his opportunities.
