Which base was the runner on when he hit the famous home run?

If he had just hit a base hit, would the runner still have scored?

Two outs so runner was going on contact and would have been home easily if that ball hits the top of the wall.

Brad Wilson was on 3B.

And had it been just a base hit, he would have scored.

Brad Wilson lead off the inning with a double. Justin Bowles followed him with a hard grounder to first that the Miami 1B made a great play on to prevent it from being a hit. Nonetheless, Wilson was able to advance to 3rd on the play. Tim Lanier followed with a strikeot for the 2nd out, setting the stage for Morris. Morris then hit the first pitch out and the rest, as they say, is LSU Tiger history.

You may be thinking of Brian Wilson; he came to LSU in 2000 or '01...

And maybe if they were wearing purple jerseys he wouldn't have hit the homerun? It's the greatest moment in the history of LSU baseball. Why would you want to ruin it by asing such dumb hypothetical question?
