is not that funny imho. It's way too predictable and the guy is just completely annoying to me. How long can they go with this guy screwing up everything he touches? I think it gets ratings boosts because it follows a great Monday lineup on CBS.
IMO, the best new comedy on CBS this season is Gary Unmarried. Thoughts??

Yes. How can anyone watch sitcoms on network tv?

The first few episodes of Worst Week were hilarious, but it's gotten stale and predictable.
Gary Unmarried is my biggest surprise of the year. I thought that had flop written all over it, but it's funny.

You seem to place a pretty big premium on originality. Most people are able to get over things like the fact that How I Met Your Mother is a newer (and I think funnier) version of Friends, which undoubtedly was a new version of some other show. I bet some people didn't even realize that HIMYM was likely pitched as "Friends for a new geneartion" and I'm probably about to get flamed.

I have heard surprisingly good things about that show.

It really is Friends (but funnier*) for the current generation. A bunch of late 20 somethings in New York hang out mostly at a bar and the central character's apartment. Doogie Howser plays a hardcore womanizer and seems to be the most popular character.
*I never really thought Friends was all that funny

Friends wasnt funny because of the overused laugh track.

Wasn't it a live studio audience?
