An excellent horse opera which I missed when it was first released in 1958. Originally panned by critics, but eventually gained a cult following. Residents of a small Texas town trust Cooper with their savings to hire a school teacher in Fort Worth. A grifter touts Julie London, a singer and prostitute, as a school teacher. Before any transaction, the train they are riding on is robbed; Cooper loses the money he is carrying and he, London, and the grifter are stranded in a remote part of Texas.

Great movie to watch on a chilly afternoon.
