Best Format for CFP Going Forward / Best Way for CFP and Bowl Games to Co-Exist

Something I thought about before this season even began, how 4 of the CFP Teams will not even have the opportunity to have a traditional bowl experience.
I know the bowls are largely irrelevant, but that doesn't mean they aren't fun. I know many here will say "the players are paid, we don't care", and I agree. It's not about just the players being paid though, it's about denying players who aren't going pro, fans, students, cheerleaders, even the band, a reward for a good season.
Like many of you all, I've used bowl games before as almost a mini-vacation.
Look at Indiana. While they may not have gone to the Rose Bowl, in the very least they probably would've gone to a bowl like the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix or the Orange Bowl in Miami. Instead, their season ends in South Bend, Indiana on a snowy night in December. Not on anyone's wish list.
People say 12 teams are too much, I agree. 8 was the perfect number. I also don't like the idea of byes, to me that's too much of an advantage in college football. But they aren't going to lower the amount of teams, so really they might as well just make it 16 and be done with it.

Here's how the CFP and Bowl Games can Co-Exist:
16 team CFP
1st Round and 2nd Round Games on Campus.
Semi-Finals at 2 of the big bowl games as neutral games (previously the New Year's Six bowl games - same as now).
National Championship Game at a Neutral Site (same as now).
Bowl Games
The 4 big bowl games (previously the New Year's Six bowl games) not being used for the CFP Semi-Finals, use the teams who lose in the 1st and 2nd Round Campus Games.
To do this and make it fair, push the start of the college football season up by one week to start the week before Labor Day weekend. Then move up the Conference Championship Games to Thanksgiving Weekend. Regular Season wraps up weekend before Thanksgiving Weekend.
As a template, we'll use 2024:
Saturday, November 30th - Conference Championship Weekend and CFP Selection Weekend
Friday, December 13th/Saturday, December 14th - 1st Round CFP Games on Campus.
Friday, December 20th/Saturday, December 21st - 2nd Round CFP Games on Campus.
Saturday, January 4th - CFP Semi-Finals
Monday, January 20th - CFP National Championship
This format would allow a 2 week break before the beginning of the CFP and a 2 week break between the 2nd Round and Semi-Finals and the Semi-Finals and National Championship Game.
The teams who lose in the CFP 1st and 2nd Round then get selected into the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl and the two other big bowls. The Fiesta Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Peach Bowl and Orange Bowl would rotate between being regular bowls and being the CFP Semi-Finals.
So again, using this year, the Orange Bowl and the Cotton Bowl would be the CFP Semi-Finals. The regular big bowls would be the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Peach Bowl and Fiesta Bowl.
Doing this helps make the CFP better and helps to save the Bowl Games. This also allows teams who make the CFP but lose in the 1st and 2nd Rounds to still have the more traditional bowl experience and allows those teams and their fans the ability to go to a big bowl game.
