I am trying to buy a new home in the shreveport area. I am looking at a 4 bedroom, 2 bath 2063 square ft home in the norris ferry landing area. The agent is willing to pay 10,000 out of his pocket on the downpayment and split the closing cost. The house has never been lived in and has 550 ft of unfinished area on the 2nd floor. With all insurnace and things our note would be around 1700 a month. Is this a good deal? I have no clue as to what i am doing and would love any advice from you guys that you can provide. Thanks in advance.

By this you mean he is charging you a high fee and then "rebating" some of it back to you?

i guess, he owns the house. He purchased it from a builder that didnt know how to handle money. Anyway, the wife is in love and I need some help.

So, give us some more details. The agent owns the house? Does he have debt on it? If not, is he offering you seller financing? What is the price of the house? Have you done an inspection? What are comps in the area?

I think I know the house. Is it in Norris Ferry Landing? If so, it is a very nice house. The builder did go under and I the realtor bought it and finished construction. I live in that area and from what I remember he added some extra amenities that surrounding houses didn't have.

He was the realtor on the house I live in out there and I could not have been more satisfied in the work he did before and after the purchase.
