AMD adrenaline issues

Just built a AMD pc. Went with a 7600xt. Everything looks great. Picked up a 1440p monitor and most games it has no issues running them at 100-130 fps. For some reason it wants me to run borderlands 3 in 1080p and if I change any setting in adrenaline it will jack with my settings in game and I’ll have to manually change them? Why is it forcing it to 1080p?
Also when this happens all the pre rendered clips are laggy and look like crap. Again have to change visuals in the game.
Another thing I’ve noticed is a huge difference in the avg fps adrenaline shows and the in game fps display?
Any help is appreciated.

I don’t have any direct experience with Adrenaline, but the general consensus has always been that both it and GeForce Experience are garbage. As a first line fix, I would suggest doing a fully clean install following the steps I outline here: LINK
And when you install your driver, uncheck any adrenaline options you can. Do that and then check back with us.

Deleted adrenaline and tested. Seems fine. Thanks.

Years ago, I was messing around with my CPU with Ryzen Master and it fricked up my system so badly that I had to clear CMOS to get out of a boot loop. Pretty much all of that software is more trouble than it’s worth.
