Thinking about taking the kids to the bowl game in houston and considering driving down to San Antonio for a few days to see christmas lights, eat drink and see sights before the bowl game. Kids are 11&14. Any recommendations for cool things to see or do? any good christmas light areas? not opposed to other areas as well
Thanks
Ben
Thanks

Though touristy, the Pearl area is great to hang out with kids for shops, restaurants, outdoor areas etc.
- Same goes for the riverwalk. This is the one time of the year that its not a bad stop.

-Windcrest is one of the top neighborhoods for Christmas lights. A quick google search will turn up a lot of info about their light tours.
- Terrell hills neighborhood (Think multi million dollar homes) is close to downtown and has a good light touring schedule.

If they like Roller Coasters, Fiesta Texas is still one of the better theme parks in the country. Sea World is about a 35 minute drive from downtown as well.

Second the Guenther House breakfast. Riverwalk and surrounding areas are still lit up. It's always a great atmosphere for bowl week. We park the car and walk everywhere.
