Not really. If someone steals him, it will be UT because his dad got a job there. At which point I couldn't blame the kid. He's LSU or wherever his dad may coach.

If they hire his dad just to get jj that is shady

Here is the rumor going around from people i know with good info from LSU. Apparently his dad is being interviewed by Kiffin the same weekend of his visit..... Take that with a grain of salt but thats whats going around. Also they seem to think hes either going to UT OR is pulling a fast one on everybody and will sign with Bama on signing day.

His dad can stand on his own two feet, but the tie in with his son definetly makes it "suspicious" on UT's part. I've already mentioned why I think guidry could get the job on his own merit.

it's kind of funny that none of them will admit that the only reason he's looking at them is because they're considering hiring his dad

I'm really not familiar with JJ's dad. Is he a pretty good coach? He's at McNeese, right? Obviously his son has a lot of god given talent, but seems like he also guided and taught his son quite a bit too...

that one ut guy said jj was visiting mcneese? Why in the world is he visiting there? Is it bring your son to work day?

Pretty reserved excitment to me.

It won't be the first time for UT. Remember them hiring Allan Houston's Dad to coach basketball. right after he left school to go pro, they canned his dad

What else could they be exited about?

JJ's Dad said in the Shreveport Times that JJ was close to Mallory-Peveto. His Dad said I'm sure the new coaches at LSU are okay but that connection is gone..........that doesn't sound good.

That intrigue grew even more on Wednesday as Jackson got a visit from recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron and defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin. Jackson has acutally known Orgeron since he was younger. Jackson's father, Lance Guidry, is an assistant coach at McNeese State, where Orgeron was once a graduate assistant. As for Kiffin, the 68-year-old left his mark on Jackson during Wednesday's visit.

Uh-oh. As I said a couple of days ago, bye-bye, Janzen.
