Will be in L.A. for a conference in December. Staying downtown in the Westin. I will mainly have the afternoons/evenings free.
May catch an NHL game and possibly the Warner Bros studio tour. Any must-dos within a reasonable Uber ride?
Also, any recommended restaurants in the $50 -$100 range.

Since you're staying in DTLA, recommend getting over to the Arts District for dinner - Bestia, Wurstküche, Bavel, Yunomi, De La Nonna, Manuela, etc. Of all in Arts District, I'd go for a bar spot at Bestia.
Some good breweries around Chinatown / Lincoln Heights, including Highland Park Brewery and Benny Boy. Pretty easy Lyft/Uber from DTLA.
Another easy ride is Silver Lake and Echo Park. Nice neighborhoods to walk around. There are a few solid cocktail bars near Echo Park Lake.
