IMO the failed assassination attempt on president trump was the turning point in this election. I don’t think anyone ever expected to see something like that take place in our lifetime in America.
I think it scared lots of Americans into feeling like if trump can’t be safe with all of his money and resources none of us can be safe anywhere. His reaction of “Fight Fight!” Ignited something in the average person that showed up big in the polls.
That and the fact that a gallon of milk is $37 and you can almost never financially recover from making yourself a turkey sandwich.
