How many LSU players are from Texas and how many are from Florida? If there are more from Texas, then we seem to be winning the battle with Oklahoma for those recruits. We, therefore, need to do better in the battle for florida players which will be hurt with a Florida National Championship.

I think your logic is flawed.

We are doing pretty well in TX and we do so with relative ease, but I promise you that changes if the Big 12 wins an NC. All the time you hear about kids wanting to play SEC football, what happens when potential TX recruits want to start playing Big 12 ball?

And as long as I remember, FL kids have almost always gone to FL schools. This is the reason we don't have many of them on our roster and a UF loss tomorrow won't change that because they'll still all want to go there, or the U or FSU.

We have way more to lose with a UO win than we have to gain with a UF loss.

As longs as the BCS is the ruler of N.C.'s, it is only logical to root for fellow SEC schools during bowls b/c it looks better for voters.
