Who is the Hype Man?

Every team has a hype man. On many teams where Coach O was an assistant, that was his role. The head coach should be focused on business. Many of our fans interpret that as being cold or a Midwestern approach but it’s how good head coaches do their job. (Not to say they don’t take some moments to get excited one way or another, but the head coach is not the de facto hype guy.)
Everyone loved Coach O doing that stuff (including me) but that’s not head coach behavior.
So, who on this coaching staff is that guy?

Typically it’s the strength and conditioning staff.

Let O go. Jesus Christ.

Maybe we can convince him to come back and he can be like the Hunchback of Tiger Stadium.
He can live in one of the janitorial closets and randomly run around the perimeter of the field on game day, resetting his jaw.
He could live on a feeding of 30-something blondes and chicken on a stick.

To be fair. I did. I’m saying this for the folks that are “missing” O.
O was a good assistant. That’s it.

It would never have happened, but I would've loved a pre-2020 Orgeron coaching our D-line last year. His head coaching tenure and supposed ignorance has been thrown around ad nauseam, but O was one of the better defensive assistants in the game for thirty plus years.
