Lane's going to be going up against some of the best in the business. He's going to be in over his head for a while. When you have to play UGA, UF and Bama every year, that's tough

Very true points in that it's tough to coach in the SEC Rocket. Why do you think he will be in over his head? What basis do you have for this opinion and thought process?

Youth and inexperience, those are very important traits/characteristics or whatever you want to call them.

He's 33 years old and will be going up against coaches with much more age and experience on him.

He very well may be successful in time, but I can't help but feel it will be rough on him for a while.

He's in the position he's in now because:

1. His last name is Kiffin
2. His agent is Sexton
3. He was a part of USC's success
4. Al Davis is stupid enough/desperate enough to give him that shot in the NFL
5. The potential staff he could put together.

I don't think any other NFL organization would have given him the shot in the NFL that he got. I'm not sure any other SEC program would have hired him, except maybe MSU or Vandy. I'm pretty sure both Minnesota and Clemson both passed him over and I don't tink that was because of lack of foresight by some incompetent administrations. No telling how many other schools passed over him.

He's got a big job for his age. Hell, it was a big job for Fulmer.
