Replacing lost LA trailer license plate

I noticed my trailer license plate was missing this weekend when I was hooking up.
Any advice on getting a replacement? I had a permanent tag (which I assume might have something to do with it missing).

Go to DMV or to one of the non-DMV places that issues plates.

I launch in Amelia and Berwick a lot. Had the plate stolen off my trailer 3 times. The locals take em, slap em on their homemade trailer, and poof, they are good. As stated above, a trip to the DMV is in your future. Easy and quick with a scheduled appointment. I no longer attach it to my trailer. It sits under my boat seat where it doesn't get stolen.
