Anyone ever been to Mendoza Argentina for the harvest festival in Feb-March?
If so, where did you stay?
How was it?
What else did you do while there?
I was invited on this trip to a region of the world I know nothing about. Any info is helpful.

I've been to Mendoza but not for the festival. Stayed at the Hyatt downtown. City is reasonably clean by LA standards. Some good restaurants downtown.
There are two wine areas - Maipu and Uco Valley. Maipu is right on the outskirts of the city while Uco is about a 45-minute drive. Great views of Andes.
Many of the vineyards have accommodations and some are very upscale. So, if you rent a car you can stay outside the downtown area. We elected to sign up for small tours.
