Going to Tuscaloosa this weekend for the school’s volleyball camp. I’ll have time to kill during the day while she’s at camp point me in the right direction. Staying at the embassy suites. TIA

Anything particular you’re looking for? Basically everything interesting within the city limits is on University Blvd from your hotel through campus.
If you just walked from Embassy Suites down University to campus, you’d pass City Hall, Bryant Denny, Greek Row, and the main quad. A block down on Bryant Drive is the athletic facility, Coleman Coliseum, and Sewell Thomas. Bryant Museum is cheap and worth doing, but I’m not sure what a non-Alabama fan would think of it.
There’s good places to eat near your hotel - DePalmas for Italian, Half-Shell Oyster House, Five for American.
If you walk towards the river, there’s a pretty greenway and River is a good southern restaurant.
If you want to drive away from campus for food, Archibald’s BBQ or Nick’s in the Sticks are good.
There’s good outdoor spots, but I imagine it’ll be unbearably hot.

Thanks buddy. Sounds like we’ll go walking. I was in Las Vegas last Sunday when it was 120. Not scared of Tuscaloosa heat the forecast says 86 tomorrow should be very nice

I went to Archibalds for lunch this week. My all time favorite. Highly recommend.
You could also consider a walk along the river.
