Chicago white Sox game recommendations

My teen son and I are going to Chicago for a 2 day trip in July. I have been searching previous threads about Chicago but can’t find information for a White Sox game. Unfortunately the cubs are out of town. Send any tips and recommendations. Not too concerned about the safety around the stadium because it is a day game.
Thanks in advance!

Take the red line. Some pretty good tailgating around there, head back out after the game.

No reason to be concerned even if it wasn't a day game. Not like you're going to take the Red Line south.
Anyway, what recommendations are you looking for? As someone else said, Sox fans throw good tailgates. There are a few fun bars, like Turtle, but probably not what you're looking for with a teenager. Bridgeport borders Guaranteed Rate and has a lot of good food options - Phil's Pizza might have the best tavern cut in the city. Otherwise, hit Maxwell or George's Gyros.

Shouldn’t be anyone at the game so you’ll have your pick of where to sit

100% true. We went here last Tuesday night to watch the Astros and I paid 19.00 for 3 seats in the 100’s. We moved to the 2nd row directly behind 1st base in the 3rd inning when it was obvious nobody else was coming.

I actually enjoyed the white Sox game I went to over all the commotion of a cubs game

I had fun as well but Wrigley is an experience. The old baseball cathedrals are going away. Pretty much, wrigley, Fenway, and Dodger stadiums are all that’s left.

There’s a really solid Italian restaurant a few blocks north of the stadium - Franco’s Ristorante. We really enjoyed it during our trip to a Sox game. Just make sure to check their hours.

You don't like a vibrant neighborhood with a ton of bar and restaurant options, a historic ballpark, and a lively crowd with great people watching and a fun viewing experience? Interesting preferences.

Eh, I wouldn't dig on nicholastiger too much. Wrigley / Wrigleyville doesn't have to be for everyone. Don't think there's much debate that, at times, it can be exceptionally crowded and overwhelming.
