re: NYC for Braves/Yankees - Hoping for some recommendations (traveling with 75 yr old)

Since you said he has been to the City many times and doesn't need the full experience I would stay somewhere near a 4 train stop, its an express with a Yankee Station stop. I don't have any specific recommendations but look near Union Square Station or Grand Central Station. Even staying near Battery Park (Bowling Green Station I think) its only a 30 min ride.
