This is not a half bad idea. The benefit is she would never know the brand, so wouldn’t be able to do a google search to see exactly how much I spent. I could also claim I got it at an antique store. #antiquetiger

The downside is, how will I know the quality? Can you tell if it’s real gold or at least gold plated? What about how many karats or other types of stones?

I haven’t been to a pawn shop before and have never watched that show on TV. If I go this route, what do I need to be aware of so I don’t get ripped off?

I am also still considering the more traditional online route and am looking for more recommendations in this area.
