Those are the "modern" ones, IIRC they were designed by a famous designer obviously hamstrung by the DOD specs. The funny thing is the older ones were less worse. I had an E5 in my platoon that wore the ones for use with a gas mask (rubber strap) all the time and he had to be the only person on the planet that could make them look cool. Note they were the ones before the military went to inserts.
