It seems like $5 bucks was more than enough for most fast food meals in the 90’s. $0.99/gallon gas too

You couldn't eat $5 worth of Taco Bell in say 1994 unless you were really hungry.
Rotolos calzones were $3.99 on Wednesdays in college. A Canes box was $5
