The gas itself is the same.
I hauled gasoline for 5 years until a bad accident took me out of it.
The truck fills at a refinery. Locally there are a few, shell near the airport, marathon in garyville and 2 in Chalmette. We loaded fuel for all brands at all of them. Meaning we could get chevron, shell, "off brand" at any of them.
The base gasoline is the same but when we select the account we are loading for it let's the system know what additives to add to the gasoline.
The additives are injected into the gasoline while loading.
Same with dyed off road diesel fuel vs highway diesel fuel. It's the same exact diesel, if we selected off road diesel fuel, it will add a specific amount of red dye into the diesel as it loads.
