I can see needing game wardens way back when there was actually a large population of game which had the potential for being over harvested.

Now... Most are lucky if they even catch/kill a legal limit. So now they are focused on "safety" and generating revenue from creating ridiculous laws like throw cushions and fishing/hunting licenses.

Have you been introduced to live scope? I literally can catch fish until I have no place to put them.

On the hunting side, I’ve seen lots of idiots baiting and killing a half dozen turkeys each year.

That said, I don’t want anyone on my property without first making me aware they’re on it.

Leftists make the same argument regarding guns.

Thats the feds, not state wildlife and fisheries agencies. If you don’t like the law saying you need a throwable aboard your boat, your gripe is with the Coast Guard since that’s who sets most boating regulations.

and fishing/hunting licenses.
You should lookup Dingell-Johnson and Pittman-Robertson acts. Federal excise taxes on fishing, hunting, and firearms equipment that’s a dedicated revenue stream for conservation and wildlife management. Part of how the funds get allocated state by state is the number of paid license holders per state and the state has to put up matching funds (which come from license sales).
