My rule of thumb is if I hit a great drive and a great 3-wood can I reach the shortest par 5.
For me that’s the white tees at rtj in Prattville. I’m not playing tournament anymore so I’ll hit from some orange tees as well to give me a range of irons for approach shots.
Driver carry per my Rhapsodo is 228. So it’s not like I’m hitting flip wedge all day even so.
