In 2025/26 when the contract would kick in, the cap is expected to be $155. $35 million is 23% of that, so it's not even a first time max. I would expect that to be a very tradeable contract. If you don't have a deal you like better than BI, kicking the can down the road becomes more attractive if you can keep his average salary under $40 million per year.
I'm not sure why he would agree to that kind of deal though.

The issue with extending BI is obviously Trey. It's clear he wants to start. Will he want to be here if BI is here long term?
