Wishful thinking at best. People think teams are going to give away a superstar in his prime for peanuts.
Trae Young is going to get a lot more than you want to believe. This is the same team that wanted a package centered around Herb or Trey for Dejounte.

Also the other side of the floor matters . Zion would have to like he did down the stretch 100% of the time to help the D . I do not like the idea of your 2 best players being undersized . The game got more physical the second half of the season and in the playoffs this year .
Yall think cj is a poor defender , watch Trae continuously put on a clinic of poor defense . Also Trey stepping in for Brandon is a hit defensively. Bi was a decent defender . Trey is dreadful and does not rebound .
So you would have potentially 3 negative defenders starting together. They would have to be incredibly efficient offensively - a they potentially could be in the regular season .
Lastly , if Willie , goes back to .5 Willie , Trae doesn’t really fit that mold .

He’s supremely talented on the offensive end, completely different story on defense. Most teams may not want to deal with that. Hence why he’s be floated around in trade talks now instead of Murray.
What other superstar player you think they are getting for him? Hes a flawed player, so BI might be the best type player they get for him. We have to add firsts or one of our young guys like Hawkins or DD. Not sure what else.
And they were smart to ask for Herb or Trey. We didn’t offer BI, if we did, I’m sure they jump at the chance to trade Murray for him.
