Does this mean the other side is the complete opposite like we had last year? Last year was fun to watch with the offense on the field, but if I can have that elite offense and even a decent-middling defense... I'd take that 10/10 times. Probably National Champs last year with a defense ranked 50th-60th rather than 100+. The 2019 team was unstoppable but could also get stops. Having 2 QBs win the Heisman in 5 years shows you a level of performance that's too easy to get used to.

I do believe defense wins championships. I don't want to be the new Oklahoma. This is the SEC, and defense is king. The changing face of college football hasn't changed that this conference has the best defenses in the country. LSU needs to be back to that level.

Still going with elite offense and okay defense. Here's to hoping the Nuss Bus rolls at full speed and Baker can get the defense good enough to be ranked in the top half of the country.
