Did it last year. Didn't even start looking for another job until I had been 2 months out (note: single with no kids). Had a big PTO cashout so I didnt have to rush. Did all the shite that you usually say you don't have time forr - went to young cousins' baseball games, dance recitals, concerts, visited family, hit the gym and played basketball every day, all kinds of good stuff

100% recommend it if you're escaping from a dogshit work environment that is wearing you down. Hitting that mental reset is a big step
