I’m just wondering how this was such a big miss all around. It’s May and we are still trying to figure out the CF position. At this point we can only hope that scouts are still drooling over Kling enough to take him in the top 5 rounds, and thankfully Bingham will be gone.

I think it's a symptom of everyone else not hitting the way we hoped. We have 2 starters hitting above .300 in SEC games (Braswell and Larson). For the season, we only have 6 batters above .275 (White, Jones, Milam, Bras, Trav, & Larson). Your lineup should always be able to absorb a defensive player that struggles at the plate (usually a SS, C, or CF). Unfortunately, this lineup has too many holes. Pearson batted cleanup for us this weekend. For the season, he's hitting .243/.242 on the season and in SEC. His OPS isn't even .800 in SEC or in conference. Pearson is in the lineup simply b/c there is no one else to replace him.
