If Trump is ahead the day after the election, Marc Elias will have this thing tied up until at least December.

This is why I included the Rasmussen tweet. Biden is said to have "won" by 0.1% of the vote. In most cases, 10-12k in key swing states.

They're not going to have that cushion of plausibility in this election. That's why I think that ultimately they're going to try and postpone/delay the election. Their own internal polling knows that on a level playing field, it would be a bloodbath, so the only way to "win" is not to play, in their reasoning. Remember all those pearl-clutching missives they went on about after the 2020 election where they were wargaming what to do if Trump refused to leave the WH? Projection.

They're going to claim that Russia/China/Iran planted malware in the election tabulating machines (you know, the ones that aren't connected to the internet, we double pinky swear), and can't be trusted. Just give us a few weeks, maybe a month or two and we'll get it sorted out.

There may even be an escalation of international tensions to the point of having us positioned on the brink of WWIII, miraculously and 100% coincidentally timed to happen in the weeks immediately leading up to Election Day.

After all, "you can't change horses midstream."

Ultimately, I see a situation where CISA's backup poll books and paper ballot provisions are implemented. Maybe we even need the National Guard to oversee and safeguard elections at polling locations in each state in one-day in-person voting.
