Yep. When they join reality and admit that liberal arts and feminine study majors are unproductive and are forced to work for Amazon or Google, they can afford to whittle that debt down.

Instead, those with architectural, engineering, law and medical degrees will be taxed into oblivion on down the line to repay the debts of idiots with no perspective or foresight... As will those of us with no college degrees who have busted their asses for decades to finally make decent income.

No one who voluntarily took on debt should be "forgiven" and not required to repay that debt. This sets a fricking terrible precedent. "Ok, so now you'll forgive my auto loans and my mortgage too, right?" It's only a matter of time before this argument is made and won.
