Alcohol certainly is a gateway drug and Honestly, it starts with sugar when it comes to gateway drugs
There’s a process though
When a person experiments with substances, the odds increase that they move into the next stage of that experimentation and when they start it early and before it’s legal the odds go higher.
If a person starts drinking at 16 then that person has a higher propensity to experiment with weed, and then maybe speed, or other level of drug.
