People should realize that Seinfeld is now an old guy with his face on multiple Mount Rushmores. He knows that no matter how hard he tries to placate the masses, people would still find reasons to take him down a peg. He's stated more than once that he doesn't give a frick and he's going to do and say whatever he wants. He's not bitter, he's just being honest and has given his last frick.
