I think that everyone who purchased or owned property with an address in Baton Rouge believed they lived in Baton Rouge.

Is St. George in a different parish 30 minutes away from Baton Rouge? I don’t really see the relevance.
I also grew up in an unincorporated village. We used the name of that unincorporated village on mail. in fact, the whole parish is unincorporated and there are multiple towns with names in that parish that have addresses with the name of the town and receive mail.
