There are 24 charter schools in Baton Rouge. They get more money per student than the public schools do thanks to Bobby Jindal.

There is one named Inspire. One named Idea.

There are some that is linked to a company in Florida that owns charter schools all over.

After being curious about how the charter schools work (because there was one built close to where I live and the parking lot is filled with cars, seems like a lot of kids go there and I don't know anyone who sends their kid there or who works there, etc) I did some research. They are not allowed in every parish, but I forgot how many there are in the state, but I estimated that maybe 10% of them are legit (when I say legit I mean they were started truly for educational purposes, etc).
