I think the Taco is similar to the 4Runner in that once you get in the 3" range you start having to consider aftermarket upper control arms, or else your alignment will never be quite right and you'll have issues with balljoints down the road.
I'd look into a set of Bilstein 5100 front shocks using OEM coils, you can set them to various heights(stock, 0.65", 1.1", 1.55", 2"). I believe set to 1.1" levels it out, or if you want to go a little bigger can do 2" with an Add-A-Leaf in the rear to get ~1".
