If a kid gets here for spring practice, looks arounds and figures out it's either beyond his capabilities or beyond his effort level to contribute here, then we should be glad he cut bait immediately.

Agreed. Quicker this happens the better. Don't want him wasting a roster spot for 2 years.

I think you pretty much nailed it Project.
Now, that leaves LSU at 13 OLmen for 2025 provided Kimo remains at DL. LSU will likely lose 4 starters off the line after this season (Campbell, Dellinger, Frazier, Jones).
So LSU will be down to 9 scholarship OLmen (barring no other attrition to come).
Translation...BIG OLine class coming in '25. Gotta bring in 5-6 guys.

The games just so different now you see guys that come in as hatchlings and don't stick around to improve and play as upperclassmen. That's what sucks to me. There are plenty of tigers that weren't ready to execute coming in that built themselves into dudes we all love. Dudes that blow up for a couple seasons at LSU after not securing starting spots early on working in the NFL to this day. Not everybody is Derek Stingley right out the gate and in some instances the old ways saved some dudes from themselves.
