They dont on every full moon but they do on every full moon in the correct water temps. Usually around April, depending on where you live, and they spawn each cycle, and some on the new moon,until the fall.


All freshwater fish spawn throughout that time frame. I have found plenty of spotted bass spawning in Lake Lanier in July/August. The wave of fish follow a basic April-June pattern of spawning but there are always fish on bed...


I see largemouth here in Florida in my neighboorhood spawning in June. And its hot AF here. LOL

Water temps and the amount of sunlight plays a part but I know in my area it is entirely possible to find a few bream on bed almost year round....but the full moon in May will find them ALL on bed...or just about all of them. They do indeed spawn just about year round in my area but they spawn in huge numbers during the full moon in May....
