Yes. Sitting/kneeling whatever makes you look like a snob that wants attention imo.
Ok, until proven wrong I’ll stick with this. Lots of experience in this realm.
Wow, something in common
Agreed, pledge to God numero uno.

But that wasn't what was asked, now was it? What was asked is
quote:Absolutely not. I would be glad they aren't reciting socialist, statist, leftist pledges.
Would you be bothered if you learned your son/daughter didn't stand for the pledge?
This forum, like all others, has a hard time keeping up with the central theme of a thread due to groupthink. On subjects like this, a, "small government conservative" agrees with a Marxist that pledging to their government is a good thing. The only difference is the former is too blinded by nostalgia and the way things used to be to realize that government hates them far worse because the Marxists are captured already. They beg and plead for the police state while they rage against the police, but that's good because it diverts their attention away from the state who actually oppresses them. That's a democrat distilled down to their most basic, festering, pitiful form, and the state you pledge allegiance to nowadays loves it.
Throughout this thread I've seen pearl clutching, virtue signaling with talk of the flag and disrespecting soldiers for not uttering a pledge that is socialist in its origin, and to a government that has now morphed into the socialist monster that the author of the pledge thought he wanted, but if you ask the people who actually served, the percentage of virtue signaling is far less prevalent: they know firsthand how little of a shite the federal government you proudly pledge allegiance to loves its soldiers and citizens. It's why the antistate and government condemnation ideology is so prevalent in veterans with online audiences.
Overwhelmingly, the citizens of this country will fight for the homeland, but what a terrible idea: ostracize the young sons and daughters of this country if they don't pledge allegiance to Washington DC. Look where that got us.
Never. Not ever. Live free, or die.
