The modern leftist modus operandi is to create distinct groups and pit them against each other. Its a tactic that allows the left to win in the absence of coherent policy. If you cant win favor with ideas, make everyone afraid of (or hate) each other and win with fear. After a generation of the left being the flower children of American politics, they are now stuck with the politics of hate.
The success of the Neocons post 911 forced leftists to side with Islam, and now they have to deal with behavior that is the antithesis of American liberalism. They did this to themselves and we should all sit back and watch their Frankenstein's monster consume them.
